WOW, Singapore!

Let me start by saying I don’t like Most Cities… but as soon as we crossed the border into Singapore, Singapore, I immediately fell in love.  Here are some of my highlights of what to do on a Weekend In Singapore.

Here’s Why Singapore is Awesome

  • The architecture is amazing.  Everything is new.
  • There’s a wide variety of people, all different cultures from everywhere.
  • You cross the street underground, really!!
  • You won’t see trash, unruly wiring, or the dirtiness that I usually see throughout Asia.
  • English is spoken perfectly and understood.
  • Getting around the city is easy.
  • Shopping is awesome.
  • There is a lot of green and outdoor stuff even in the city.
  • Every night, there is an amazing Laser Light & Fire Show on the water!!

Everywhere You Go In Singapore, you are Amazed

Underground Tunnels

Singapore has an entire network of underground tunnels.  There are so many, in fact, that you can go an entire day just tunneling around!  I had one day that I couldn’t remember if I went outside or even crossed a street!

Amazing Food from Around the World

Singapore is awesome because it has loads of different foods from all around the world.  There are areas that are loads of small expat areas that have everything you could want to eat or drink, and have stunning views.  Check out this Article on Food & Bev in Singapore

Rooftop Bars!!

They are everywhere, but if you want something fancy, check out the most famous one Marina Bay Sands with a giant Boat on top!

Merlion!

You must go and visit The Famous Merlion Fountain – with the head of a lion and the body of a fish!

And Lastly:

Laser Light Show Time!

Every evening around the water there is an amazing laser light show.  Eat at any of the restaurants along the water and take in the spectacular show.

If you are in Asia, definitely put Singapore on your list of places to go.  I was there for a long Weekend In Singapore, but could have easily stayed much, much longer!  Next time I go, I will surely check out the Singapore Architecture Tour as the buildings are otherworldly!
